A prediction method will be designed, developed, and evaluated to simulate instantaneous visual feedback for two-dimensional dragging interactions on touch surfaces regardless of actual hardware and software latency. This method will be developed using the sensing capabilities of a new touch input device from a Canadian company called Tactual Labs. This device uses simultaneous orthogonal multiplexing to achieve sensing rates 15 to 70 times higher than existing touch input technologies.
