Community Wi-Fi deployments are becoming more and more popular. Each deployment has multiple access points which are used to provide connectivity to the customers. Community centers are usually large in area and roaming between the access points causes disconnections. As a result, Wi-Fi customers have to authenticate again when they reconnect leading to service disruption and customer dissatisfaction. Disconnections also lead to application failures and/or delays which lead to poor customer experience. To that end, we want to provide solutions to improve the handoff procedure between access points and efficient ways to manage the network.
