Cloud computing offers an important service over the Internet. It delivers valuable infrastructure, platform,
capacity, as well as speed to applications. Orbital Software Solutions Inc. has been providing distributed
computing services for more than 10 years and highly specialized cloud technology for over 5 years. Now the
company is interested in expanding its business to include application interface. In particular, Orbital wants to
develop Sensor-Based Cloud Computing Interface (CCI) to inspire and attract cloud users. Similar to the
mobile apps interface, which increases the sale of iPhones, the launch of CCI is anticipated to increase user
demands on using Orbital's cloud and thus increase Orbital's business share in the technology market. Instead
of following the widely adopted gamification concept, the proposed CCI focuses on the latest state-of-the-art
sensor-based hand and finger motion detection technology, using data captured by smart sensors. By
embedding CCI in Orbital's cloud infrastructure, the company can accelerate a new market for processing,
analyzing, evaluating and storing fine motion data, which will benefit a wide range of Tele-Training
applications including surgical planning & training, sculpting, rehabilitation, arts & music and robotic
automation, where finger motion is the focus of appreciation and assessment.
