Identity and access management (IAM) is a very broad area of information technology security. The term is commonly used to refer to a variety of activities related to enabling secure access to resources, e.g., devices, services and networks, including provisioning of user access, ensuring security policy compliance, and password management. Traditionally such access is provided through manual authentication (e.g., guard on duty). However with the introduction of automation, assurance of security became one of the most critical components of IAM systems. The proposed research project will focus on security-oriented cross-correlation analysis of data for IAM systems. The research will yield a new and practical solution that will be employed by Fibre Centre to guarantee diverse security requirements associated with different clients.
