Cyberattacks are on the rise affecting every aspect of our daily life. Adversaries are taking attacks to a new complexity level, using malicious software, as an ultimate weapon. Adoptive, destructive and constantly evolving, malware exploits undefended gaps in security and evades traditional defences. Dr. Stakhanova¿s innovative research will offer methodological and technological support to identify and profile digital identity of adversaries to offer preemptive mitigation of attacks. It will enable scientific exploration of adversarial communities and will change the fundamental focus of anti-cybercrime efforts from merely coping with individual instances of malware to mitigating the potential threat of underground cybercommunities.
