This project focuses on the development of a management layer that can be integrated with the existing back-end infrastructure of the company. The components (sensors & communication components) in the network communicate via standard messaging protocols (e.g. MQTT, COAP). Since the communication layer in IoT (Internet of Things) systems is subject to changes it is important to design the management layer protocol agnostic. This project will develop tools to manage IoT devices via virtualization and thus enable the definition of customizable views on the IoT network. These views will enable different groups of users customized & controlled access to the components of the IoT network.
