The hair loss market is large, and projected to rise with the increase of worldwide aging populations. There is an unmet need for clinically effective and safe therapeutic options. Current hair loss solutions include costly hair transplant surgeries that have mixed results and hormonal therapies with potentially serious side effects. Further, it is estimated that up to 99% of hair loss products (e.g. hair serums, shampoos, oral tablets) are completely ineffective.
Arbor Life Labs is a nutraceutical company that scientifically formulates natural remedies and supplements for common chronic health problems. Using various extract technologies, ingredients are sourced from naturally-occurring herbal ingredients, vitamins and minerals. As their lead product, Arbor Life has developed a novel hair-loss solution that delivers essential nutrients for healthy hair follicle activity and bioactives that promote hair growth and thickness. This product is a result of extensive research and development that: uses natural ingredients based on scientific evidence; treats the broadest spectrum of hair loss; and is formulated for concentrated extracts and optimal delivery of bioactives to target sites. In the next stage of product development, Arbor Life seeks to collaborate with Brock University to further investigate the mechanism of action of their extracts on hair follicle cells and surrounding tissues. This work is critical for the continued product development and introduction of Arbor Lifes hair loss solution to the market.
