英文摘要
BioCella Medical Concept Solutions Inc. is a cosmeceutical company which designs and formulates skin care products based on medical principles. BioCella wishes to develop an innovative anti-aging product which would employ human adult stem cell-derived growth factors, unlike cosmetic products which are presently in the market place and use plant-derived stem cell extracts with no to minimal efficacy. The company does not have the technical knowledge to solve the issue of extracting such peptides or growth factors; therefore, is requesting the expertise of Dr. Crawford to provide a robust protocol to isolate human adult stem cells and purification of the secretory factors which will be incorporated into cosmeceutical products. The company also wishes for scientific validation of the benefits of these active molecules on skin rejuvenation using cell-based assays. By combining the latest discoveries in the fields of stem cell biology and skin care technology, BioCella hopes to formulate the most effective and scientifically tested anti-aging products. Although the finished products would be applicable in the management of UV damaged photoaging and personalized skin care, the results from this study may eventually lead to new therapies for skin wound-healing and regeneration.
