英文摘要
Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is a technique that is routinely employed to amplify and manipulate DNA in studies of gene structutre and function. Reaction conditions vary according to the DNA sequence under study, and establishing the correct temperature conditions for optimal and specific amplification can be expensive in terms both of time and reagents. A determination of the optimal conditions for PCR is facilitated through the use of a PCR machine that is designed to test reactions over a range of temperatures (gradient). We are applying to augment our research capacity through the provision of this essential piece of equipment.
