Human activity has caused and is causing changes in our atmosphere. These changes are affecting, and will continue to affect, the quality of life on Earth. Two important and related changes, ozone depletion and climate change, have been identified internationally as two of the "grand challenges" for atmospheric science in this century. To address these grand challenges, my research group makes measurements in the Canadian Arctic to study the chemical composition of the Earth's atmosphere and how it is changing with time.
