With the rapid adoption of various internet-connected devices (e.g., computers, smartphones, tablets and smart-watches), the boundary between what people do online and in real-life begin to blur. Take restaurant business for example. On one hand, restaurants are looking for new approaches to engage and connect with their diners. These restaurants want to not only service traditional walk-in diners, but also to accept dinning requests from online reservations or even take-out orders. On the other hand, diners demand new seamless and unified experience in ordering their food. More and more diners prefer to order and pay their food using their smartphones and mobile payments beforehand and pick it up in the restaurants right away.
