A well-known problem with virtual reality (VR) systems is motion sickness, or cybersickness. Cybersicknessarises from conflicts between how our eyes perceive our motion in a VR environment, and the fact that we areoften not actually moving, which other sensory systems (e.g., the vestibular system) perceive. This conflictyields nausea in VR users. The aim of this project is to investigate methods to reduce cybersickness whenmoving through VR environments, specifically targeting small space usage scenarios (e.g., when the user isstanding or sitting, but not physically walking through the environment).
