The innovative technique previously developed with the industry partner utilizing the reinforcement capacity ofreclaimed glass fibers will be further explored to develop high strength fiber reinforced acrylic concrete(HSFRAC) bath tubs. The manufacturing of HSFRAC material would include investigating the performance ofdifferent material combinations, (i) fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) alone; (ii) acrylic + FRC combination formanufacturing of Green bathtubs. Such bathtubs which are produced using waste and recyclable materialwould significantly contribute to Zero Waste policy; lower CO2 emissions associated with cement production;and reduce landfills. Thus provide an environmentally friendly solution to a chronic issue, while beingcost-effective as well.
