Camosun College will be partnering with First Light Technologies (FLT) for the first time to develop and test a photovoltaic panel simulator for solar lights. FLT is a company based in Victoria, BC that designs and manufactures state-of-the-art solar lights with adaptive control of the light intensity and has a global market for its products. FLT is an innovation driven company and prides itself on the reliability of its products. This project will be crucial in allowing FLT to test their products under variable lighting conditions, mimicking distinctively different locations around the world, where their products will be utilized. This will, in turn, allow FLT to increase their product light output, while maintaining their reliability, resulting in an increased competitiveness for FLT with other solar lighting options and grid-based lighting.
