Camosun College will be partnering with Build a Better Earth Movement Ltd. (BinBreeze) for the first time to develop a prototype for an automated packaging solution for their compost bin deodorizing product.BinBreeze, a Victoria, BC company has developed a unique product where wood waste (sawdust) is upcycled and combined with minerals and silicates to create the compost bin deodorizer. This non-toxic, all-naturaldeodorizer, which can also be scented with essential oils, is currently aimed at the consumer market and can be found in over 150 stores across Canada. With an increasing product popularity and demand for commercialsolutions, BinBreeze is pressingly looking for ways to speed up their production process, while maintainingproduct consistency and quality. Camosun College has in-house expertise in manufacturing automation, design and prototyping that will be able to assist BinBreeze with improving their packaging efficiency and anincreased throughput.
