英文摘要
My research program intends to address how growth, stress and reproductive performances of fish are impacted by environmental contaminants. The over-arching goal is to enhance our
fundamental knowledge about the stress coping mechanisms in fish to develop novel risk
assessment tools for predicting population-level damage by contaminants. A major focus will be on maternal transfer of contaminants to eggs and its implication on growth, development and stress performances. The applied aspect of this research program will be in the development of gene, protein and/or metabolite probe as biosensors of fish performance to predict long-term and multi-generational impacts of contaminants for risk assessment.
