英文摘要
The current economic downturn in the oil and gas industry has created a need to reduce costs and**environmental impacts in the recovery of hydrocarbons. The tools proposed will advance the positive outcomes**from the tertiary stage of reservoir production using Alkaline/Surfactant/Polymer (ASP) flooding. ASP is an**attractive Enhanced Oil Recovery method and the advantages of ASP flooding are widely reported from the**laboratory to the field. Many important technical issues related to this process still exist and need to be**resolved with a comprehensive study program. The goal of this research project is to investigate the**fundamentals of ASP flooding from the laboratory to the field scale using coreflooding data and advanced**numerical simulation technologies. Oil and gas companies are requesting tools that can help them efficiently**screen, design, and optimize field-scale the ASP process for light oil reservoirs. The research is also extended**to heavy oil reservoirs by proposing a novel hybrid recovery concept. This project will establish new processes**and validate them. The outcomes will be published in open access journals
