Virtual Reality (VR) is a relatively new technology that has shown great promise in a large number of different areas beyond just the entertainment industry. One field that has identified a use for VR is in the training of caregivers for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Learning to interact successfully with children with ASD is important to provide the best quality of care and attention to the affected children. The process of learning to successfully interact with the children can be overwhelming and difficult without support and a proper set of tools. If training were able to be conducted in a virtual environment prior to interaction with children, it would greatly improve the confidence and abilities of caregivers. This project addresses this need by investigating and developing a VR training tool that can simulate a variety of different scenarios a caregiver may experience in any given day. Standard gamification techniques will be applied to the VR training software as a way to help drive engagement and reach learning outcomes. The Uncomplicated Family is a provider of assistance in a variety of ways to families and caregivers of children and disabilities. Access to their existing network of caregivers provides a start-to-finish pipeline to prototype, validate, and test the VR training environment before full integration into their available services. **
