Biosensors are increasingly important to develop to reduce the economic pressure on the healthcare system. Pressure sensor arrays which can sense the pressure due to non-movement of patients are extremely important in terms of reducing the initiation of pressure sores in non-mobile patients. The proposal proposes to use flexible pressure sensor arrays for long-term reliable sensors. Hybrid materials like organic/inorganic will be utilized through 3D printing to develop printed sensor arrays for pressure sensing.
