Optimal forecasting for seasonal apparel items************

Loblaw Companies Limited (LCL) is the Canada's food and pharmacy leader. Loblaw operates five divisions. Joe Fresh is one of them. Today, it is one of Canada's leading fashion retailers, with products available at several retail locations. In this project, LCL and a research team from Ryerson University collaborate. In this applied research project, the objective is to determine the optimal forecast for the seasonal apparel items. To this aim, the current forecasting system is examined. In addition, the appropriate forecasting methods are developed, tested, and applied for the seasonal items. The results of this project will have benefits for the company, research, and environment in Canada because some excess transportation can be avoided.
