项目摘要

The Institute for Sustainable Horticulture at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) will bring its experience with bio-product development to explore the value of Ecovatec's new phospholipid egg yolk component products for two novel purposes which will support sustainable horticulture: promotion of plant growth and management of foliar diseases. The project will determine the potential of four phospholipid components from the companies production process in growth and disease management trials. A new product based on one or both of these activities, will be of high value to several sectors of the agriculture and landscape industries. Ecovatec will benefit from the expertise at KPU to address early product development questions, and KPU will expand its ability to work with local industry in its region. Students will benefit from the opportunity to participate in applied research and contribute to the green economy. The environment will benefit from new protective bio-products.**
