Klipfolio, the company partner in this application, provides a variety of indicators and measurements to**customers as an online dashboard. Klipfolio is committed to providing the most valuable indicators to**companies and places great emphasis on educating SMEs on the appropriate use of indicators. Being able to**identify suitable indicators for SMEs and having evidence with regards to their usefulness and validity would**allow Klipfolio to provide greater value to its clients, and in turn, would allow client SMEs to improve their**performance.**The project aims to identify KPIs for several groups of SMEs based on industry, vertical positioning, and**special managerial purposes by conducting a systematic literature review. To validate the list of KPIs, in-depth**interviews and customer surveys will be conducted. Following this initial project, the gained knowledge will be**used to design a systematic approach to identification and validation of proper KPIs for customers in different**segmentations. This knowledge will be encapsulated into a technical machine learning algorithm. The**functionality and usability of this algorithm will be investigated using an in-site mixed case study.**Klipfolio intends to commercialize the outcome of this collaboration in their products. The university**research team and the company's scientific/technical staff will work together to ensure that the**knowledge/technology will be transferred effectively to the company. The industry partner has participated in**the design of this new proposal by describing their long-term interests and how the outcomes of the project**may contribute to new opportunities for technology transfer and product development. The company was**closely involved in the development of this proposal, in reviewing the proposed scope, research methodology,**and project milestones. As algorithmic components are designed and implemented, the company will provide**feedback and will participate in their evaluation.
