Highly innovative projects will be pursued in the framework of this research chair program, and *will include: (i) fundamental investigations in integrated nonlinear optics; (ii) fundamental *investigations in integrated quantum optics. Then these fundamental findings will be exploited for *the development of smart photonic devices making use of (iii) analog optical processing, and (iv) *quantum information processing. In parallel, efforts will be made to optimize the proposed *platform through new fabrication methods and to work in conjunction with industry in prototype *development targeting medium and long-term device commercialization.***
