The application of blockchain to the audit capability of a digital health platform

The New Brunswick government recently launched the MyLabsNB mobile application pilot, which allows pilot**patients access their lab test data on their mobile devices. MyLabsNB leverages a product called VeroSource**Framework (VSF) developed by VeroSource Solution Inc. This research project will enhance VSF capabilities**by incorporating blockchain based privacy-preserving audit support. Blockchain technology presents a**significant economic opportunity for Canada and this project will help develop expertise in blockchain by**training Highly Qualified Personnel (HQP). This research will be conducted in Fredericton, New Brunswick in**collaboration with UNB professors, graduate student researchers and VeroSource employees. It is expected that**the outcome of this research will go a long way in ensuring public trust in mobile service delivery of**government services to Canadian citizens.
