英文摘要
This project will enhance a virtual reality (VR) application that will subject the user to a set of stress-inducing factors in a virtual environment. The users work performance will be measured in the virtual application, and a real-time assessment of the user's mental stress will be measured, using an ECG sensor. A set of teaching instruction or behaviour approaches will be investigated and modelled for the VR environment, with the aim of qualifying a few stress mitigation strategies.A real-time 'stress' dashboard will be developed to monitor the users' stress and performance in the VR application. The demonstration VR simulation (with ECG) will be created, to demonstrate some benefits of performing some stress mitigation strategies prior to performing stressful tasks. A case study will be created to test one or more research hypothesis regarding stress mitigation techniques. This project will contribute to the understanding of stress in occupational settings and whether workers can be trained to lower stress or adopt stress mitigation techniques when given a greater awareness of their stress responses. This research will result in a VR application that will be useful to the core product of EXO Insights. The displays and research results will contribute to the understanding of how to mitigate and train for occupational stress.
