项目摘要

The fast pace of edge computing along with 5G is bringing massive number of Internet-of-things (IoT) devices and connected automated vehicles (CAVs) to everyday life. For the ultimate goal of L5 autonomous driving, CAVs are loaded with state-of-the-art hardware which will contribute computing resources as part of edge computing. A number of challenges emerge to achieve this, including resource allocation, reliability, security, and mobility. Our goal is to design and implement a system that meets the requirements of edge computing with mobility and security constraints. Specifically, we propose an extensible and reliable edge computing platform by leveraging modern lightweight orchestration frameworks to extend the data processing capabilities on demand. Billing, incentive allocation, and reputation systems are also built on blockchain technology to coordinate multiple parties and satisfy security requirements.
