Vision Transportation - TMS Modernization Research Initiative (TMRI)

Vision Transportation is a Canadian headquarterd logistics company providing services throughout North America. Increasingly, more complex freight and inventory planning are required to ensure compliance with strict on-time deliveries and in-stock requirements in a time of decreasing capacity and increasing regulation. A large, impending challenge for the company centres around their efforts to envision, design and deploy the next generation of their Transportation Management and Warehouse Management Systems (TMS/WMS) while taking into account their operational realities and a new breed of intelligent, analytics systems. The proposed project, in partnership with Conestoga College, will research, design, test and deploy significant new functionality within their TMS/WMS platforms allowing for new levels of efficiency, revenue generation and cost saving opportunities to be actioned.
