英文摘要
The objective of this research project is to develop systems for classifying physical activity and analysing physiological data recorded by an intelligent textile. These systems will be used for the implementation of a tool to measure adherence to home rehabilitation treatment. The physiological data classification and analysis systems and the observance measurement tool will be integrated into the Hexoskin platform, an intelligent textile developed by our industrial partner Carré Technologies Inc. The development of these new tools has four specific objectives, each representing a milestone step. The first will focus on the development of a large database of data measured by Hexoskin and representing several classes of physical activity (Objective 1). The second will be to study the problem of classifying these data in order to develop robust methods that can recognize real-life activities in everyday life (Objective 2). The third phase will focus on an analysis of physiological data (cardiac and respiratory) based on physical activity classification (Objective 3). The final step will be the application of these methods to measure patient compliance in home rehabilitation (Objective 4). In addition to advancing knowledge in the field of shape classification and physiological data analysis, this project will enable the marketing of Hexoskin equipped with the observance measurement tool. This tool will have considerable benefits for patients, organisations and the partner. Home monitoring of rehabilitation patients will significantly reduce treatment costs while improving the quality of life for patients. In addition, it will promote the emergence of new forms of patient treatment management that are more effective than those using conventional conventional medical practice. Finally, this tool will strengthen the expertise of our industrial partner Carré Technologies in the medical technology field. The anticipated benefits will generate substantial spinoffs for the Canadian economy in the health sector.
