Mailhot Industries Inc. is a Quebec-based company with 300 employees working in the manufacture of high elongation hydraulic cylinders and at the cutting edge of technology for heavy road transport vehicles, such as trucks and cranes. To do this, Mailhot is seeking C2T3's expertise in wireless telecommunications and electromagnetic simulations to develop this innovative technology. For the company, this project is an important vector of innovation designed to strengthen the company's competitiveness through automated monitoring of cylinder operations using RF/RFID and telemetric technologies, making it possible to increase the operating efficiency of its products, reduce maintenance costs and modernize its business model. Across Canada, the market for this type of product is in the order of $250 million. The creation of 15 jobs is possible over a five-year period for product engineering and marketing.
