Polymer materials are very useful applications in the areas of health science and technology for the development of advanced medical devices, personalized medical care and implants. In recent years, smart polymer materials designed by novel concepts have opened innovative routes for therapeutic drug delivery, tissue regeneration and repair, diagnostic and analysis devices. However, successful transition from innovation to daily usage is slow: advancing and engineering such polymer materials equipped with desirable smart functions is a challenging process. We will develop and design innovative fabrication methods to generate advanced polymer materials and make them extremely versatile platforms for drug delivery and cell analysis.
