5G and Wireless IoT Communications

The expeditious evolution of wireless technologies and their rapid convergence with diverse industry applications bring significant technical challenges for enabling the ubiquitously connected society. The objective of the proposed CRC research program is to overcome the main technical challenges of the 5th generation (5G) and Internet-of-Things (IoT) networks by developing integrated designs for the provisioning of massive capacity/connectivity, highly secure handling of distributed data, and diverse service/application requirements from people, society and industry. Orchestrated operation of future networks will be investigated for application-oriented industry deployment. Technology innovation, student training, and industry collaboration will be central to the proposed research program.
