英文摘要
The research program of the Canada Research Chair in Biocolloids and Surfaces aims to discover transformative technologies for (i) safer and more sustainable development of nanotechnology, (ii) water treatment, and (iii) antimicrobial materials for clinical applications, transportation and food processing industries. This is achieved by integrating the state-of-the-art in environmental science, materials science and biology. The research will be transformative by integrating a sustainable engineering approach to the development of safer nanomaterials, water treatment technologies, and antimicrobial materials. The unique research program will help to position Canada at the forefront of rapidly growing and innovative research areas that have important implications for sustainable development and protection of the environment and public health.
