This Chair Program aims to improve the efficiency of combustion engines, develop technologies for safer, environmentally friendly vehicles, and develop systems to reduce/eliminate vehicle idling. This multidisciplinary research program will combine the expertise of diverse research teams to enable rapid innovation via collaborative projects. The Chair will continue his successful technology transfer to industry, putting theory into practice and building lasting partnerships with Canadas leading manufacturers. The Chair will train the next generation of engineers to help our automotive industry, and youth outreach will encourage our elementary and high school students to study engineering and science.
