英文摘要
The Golden Triangle is one of the most prolific gold producing regions in British Columbia. The Lawyers project, located east of the Golden Triangle, has been historically mined for gold and is associated with rocks of the same age and broad characteristics as the Golden Triangle. The objective of this project are: (1) to determine the minerals and textures that gold is associated with in the Lawyers project, (2) to develop a metallogenic model for different mineralization styles in the Lawyers project and (3) to compare the mineralization styles between the Lawyers project, other prospects in the Toodoggone district, and the Golden Triangle. Exploration models are commonly based on understanding the regional controls on mineralization. The Golden Triangle, as the name indicates, is a highly prolific gold metallogenic region. A series of projects due east of the Golden Triangle and including the Lawyers project may suggest that this style of mineralization extends east into BC and therefore expand the potential gold resources in the region. This research is therefore of interest to exploration companies operating in northern BC and to the economy of the region.
