英文摘要
This joint project between MPBC and Montreal Polytechnique will lay the groundwork for a family of new high-power tunable single frequency fiber laser systems that will allow users in Quantum Technologies and Quantum Computing research communities to create novel methods to manipulate new, currently under utilised, atomic species of interest in quantum applications. The project will entail development of specialized devices and subsystems to be used in such a laser, including novel wavelength selective devices, and laser control systems. New class of quantum-enhanced laser sources will be of interest for INO and Valcartier in their efforts of developing state-of-the-art LiDAR and remote spectroscopy applications. We believe that as our technologies become available, other companies, such as Teraxion, ITF and others will focus their products towards supplying devices for the Quantum Technology markets as well, opening new opportunities in Quebec
