Our overall goal is to produce high quality breath samplers to enable and meet the growing needs of the global breath analysis and research market. The goal of this Phase 1 project is to miniaturize and de-risk our breath sampler (aka, the BreathPod) and set up a company to house the product. Breath-based diagnosis and monitoring for human and animal diseases is a fast-growing market and one in need of a reliable, easy-to-use, multi-animal use, analytical instrument-agnostic breath sampler for biomarker discovery and validation. The market is vast and heterogeneous. Our BreathPod provides a universal platform to work with human and animal applications. The Phase 1 objectives are to: - Complete the design and development, and laboratory and field testing of our BreathPod,- Submit new IP,- Establish a company to commercialize the BreathPod, - Product refinement from customer engagement- Product design for the BreathPod manufacturing optimization at scale- Engage leading analytical partners in preparation for market entryAt the end of this project, we will have a fully tested prototype ready for manufacturing as well as have established the company and the company relationships, needed to realize the BreathPod as a commercial reality.
