Urban transport systems are facing unprecedented change requiring new computational approaches for planning and practice. With improved theoretical models grounded in data science and large-scale urban mobility data, this program will develop innovative evaluation frameworks, methods and tools to measure, predict and assess the environmental and socioeconomic impacts of new urban transport technology and alternative infrastructure investment strategies. This research will help cities and municipal governments advance the transition to more sustainable transport systems.
