There are currently vast networks of pipelines to transport oil and gas on and under the surface ofthe earth and water. Maintenance and supervision of such complex structures are both expensiveand economically/environmentally sensitive. Monitoring the flow of fluid in order to locatepossible leakage and blockage is of particular interest to contractors. The innovative solution offered in this research is a novel mechanical flow meter sensor that facilitates efficient online monitoring of fluid flow.
