英文摘要
In order to achieve sustainable energy goals, which are of importance to all humanity, we must increase photovoltaic (PV) penetration into the distribution grid in a robust and resilient fashion. PV, along with other distributed energy resources (DER) throughout the low voltage distribution grid, has until recently not been a significant presence at this level so there is a critical gap in grid planning and management software tools that can scale from the secondary to the primary distribution level. Our Low-voltage Energy Aggregation Framework (LEAF) evaluates network dynamics against grid interconnection standards to enable both operational and planning activities. It enables asset dispatch (storage, curtailment, load reduction) as dictated by voltage stability requirements, and it reveals how to coordinate such assets to safely bring more renewables onto the grid. LEAF is a lightweight framework written in the Python programming language that allows digital twin models to run in the cloud, either as a simulation tool or for real-time dynamic network management.
