信息安全是与国家安全息息相关。编码理论和密码学是在信息安全中被广泛应用的学科，数字计算机和数字通信的发展使离散性数学（组合数学、数论、代数学等）得到重要的实际应用，在一些先进国家，数论和代数（线性代数和抽象代数）已成为相关领域工程师的通用语言和基本工具。为培养具有深厚数学功底的年轻研究人才，我们将在2012年7月举办编码密码中的数学基础暑期班。

Information security is closed related with the national security. Coding theory and cryptograph are subjects which can be widely used in information security. The development of the digital computer and the digital communication made discrete mathematics, such as combinatorial mathematics, number theory and algebra having important practical applications. In some advanced countries, number theory and algebra (linear algebra and abstract algebra) are the engineers'' common languages and basic tools. In order to train younger researchers with solid mathematical foundations, we will conduct the Summer School for Mathematical Foundations of Coding Theory and Cryptography in July, 2012.
