近年来，随着生命科学的不断发展和深入研究，许多具有显著生物医学背景的数学问题不断涌现，形成了现代生物数学研究的热点和前沿。项目申请人近年来在该领域开展了相关科研工作，并与许多国际著名学者建立了密切的合作关系。因此，由项目申请人发起，计划于2013年7月在湖南师范大学举办现代生物数学暑期学校，集中邀请该领域国内外著名的专家学者，为与会的研究生、青年学者系统讲授相关课程和现代生物数学的发展前沿。相信通过本次活动的举办，将进一步促进国内现代生物数学领域的持续发展，同时为生命科学中一些重要问题的解决，为现代数学理论和方法学上的完善与丰富，打下坚实的基础。

英文摘要

Recently, with the development of the life sciences, many mathematical problems of biological significance have been put forward, which become the focal topics in modern mathematical biology. The applicant has done systematical works in the related field, and established tight collaborations with those top scientists in mathematical biology. Therefore, the applicant desire to hold a summer school on modern mathematical biology at the Hunan Normal University, and intensively invite well known experts to give lecture series and seminars for the domestic undergraduate students and youth scholars. It is believed that this event will promote the research in mathematical biology and, more importantly, establish a solid foundation for solving some problems of great importance in life sciences and thus enriching the modern mathematics and methodologies.

近年来, 随着生命科学的不断发展和深入研究, 许多具有显著生物医学背景的数学问题不断涌现, 形成了现代生物数学研究的热点和前沿。2013年7月15日－26日在湖南师范大学举办了现代生物数学暑期学校, 集中邀请该领域国内外著名的专家学者, 为与会的60余名研究生、青年学者系统讲授相关课程和现代生物数学的发展前沿。活动的举办为有志于在生物数学领域进行科学研究的年轻人系统梳理了的现代数学统计理论方法以及其在生命科学中应用的知识结构。
