应用数学暑期学校（2017）

应用数学暑期学校是一项交叉学科学术精英的培养计划，自2002年夏季正式启动，至今已成功举办十五期。交叉学科研究是国际上科学研究的主流方向，这项计划正是基于交叉学科发展的要求展开的。本次应用数学暑期学校的课程设置涉及科学计算、数学物理、偏微分方程和统计科学四个领域，通过邀请国际国内该领域的知名学者进行授课，将国际上具代表性的顶尖学术思维引入中国学术界，培养未来从事交叉学科研究和教育的青年人才。暑期学校使学生接触到最前沿的研究方向和成果，拓展研究生的思维模式，得到与国际水平接轨的训练，以培养更多从事交叉学科研究的优秀人才。

Summer School on Applied Mathematics is an interdisciplinary academic elite training program. It has been successfully executed fourteen years since the Summer of 2002. Interdisciplinary scientific research is a main trend in international academics. This program is designed for the development of interdisciplinary research. The courses will cover scientific computing, mathematical physics, partial differential equations and statistical science. We will invite active domestic and international scholars to give lectures and introduce the top representative results to chinese graduate students. The summer school aims to cultivate the young scholars and talented students for the future research in interdisciplinary fields. The Summer School will lead students to the research forefront, expand their thinking, and help them build solid foundations in interdisciplinary research.
