Third United States/Japan Workshop on Urban Earthquake Hazard Reduction

地震工程研究所(EERI)城市地震减灾委员会将召开美日合作研讨会，介绍当前的研究成果和从最近破坏性地震中吸取的教训，以及由此带来的缓解、准备、应对和重建实践方面的变化。研讨会将于1991年11月13日至15日在夏威夷举行。随着国际减少自然灾害十年的开始，这次研讨会将为美国和日本提供一个机会，让他们在早期合作研究工作的基础上再接再厉，加强现有的联系。为今后的防震减灾研究规划提供了依据。

The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) Committee on Urban Earthquake Hazard Reduction will convene a cooperative United States--Japan workshop to present current research findings and lessons learned from recent damaging earthquakes, and resultant changes in mitigation, preparedness, response, and reconstruction practice. This workshop will be held in Hawaii, November 13- 15, 1991. As the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction begins, this workshop will provide an opportunity for the U.S. and Japan to build on earlier collaborative research efforts and to strengthen existing ties. It will provide a basis for future program planning for earthquake hazard reduction research.
