GeRDI: Generic Research Data Infrastructure

本项目提案涉及通用研究数据基础设施（GeRDI）的开发。在第一阶段，将开发三个支持研究数据管理的试点数据中心。这些试点中心将彼此联系起来，以便研究数据可以跨学科边界使用，从而为多学科研究提供新的机会。在第二阶段（不属于本提案的一部分），开发的解决方案可以在德国推出，如果有适当的资金支持，它将作为未来德国研究数据基础设施的模型。GeRDI解决了研究数据的长尾问题，即主要是来自大学的用户，数据量适中，没有现有的、组织良好的数据管理社区。

This project proposal deals with the development of a Generic Research Data Infrastructure (GeRDI). In a first phase three pilote data centers supporting the management of research data will be developed. These pilote centers will be linked up with each other so that research data can be used across disciplinary boundaries, enabling new opportunities for multi-disciplinary research. In a second phase which is not part of this proposal, the developed solution can be rolled-out in Germany and - if appropriate funding will be available - serve as a model for a future German Research Data Infrastructure.GeRDI addresses the long tail of research data, i.e. primarily users from universities with moderate amounts of data and without existing and well organised data management communities.
