Azaindolocarbazoles and -Extended Phenanthridine Derivates as Organic Materials (A03)

This project aims at the synthesis of new N-heterocycles with extended -conjugation. It focuses on modular synthetic concepts, allowing fast variations; in addition, bidirectional synthetic strategies will be applied. Targets are -extended indolocarbazoles, e.g. BenzoBenzoIndoloCarbaZole (BBICZ) or diaza-BBICZs, aza-derivatives of benzodicarbazoles, diindolopyiridochinolines, dinaphthyridinopyrenes, naphtyridines, azulenes and di¬chinolino-pyrroloindoles. In cooperation with the theory groups the necessary variations of these molecules will be provided to the materials science groups.
