The project uses comparative historical studies between law and literature to identify the basic conditions and dynamics of an evolving transnational understanding of literary property as the paradigmatic form of 'intellectual property'. In particular, the project will contribute to an understanding of a balanced interpretation and effective modelling of the extent of legal protection generated by intellectual property law.
