Study on Vicissitudes of Dwellings and Settlements due to Disasters

本研究旨在阐明民居变迁对防灾减灾的影响。首先，研究了海啸对三陆沿岸居民点迁移的影响。作为这项研究的结果，海啸造成的房屋损坏等级是需要消除还是不需要消除的。灾难过后，无论是小村庄还是大村庄，都无法搬迁。定居点的拆除有效地减轻了该地区下一次海啸造成的破坏。然而，很难弄清楚拆除模式和破坏之间的关系。第二，我们调查了1974年伊豆半岛地震造成的房屋损坏的重建情况。在本研究中，我们无法明确房屋损坏与房屋拆迁的关系。

The purpose of this study was to clarify the effect of vicissitudes of dwellings and settlements for natural disaster mitigation and prevention.At first, the removal of settlements caused by tsunami along the Sanriku coastal area was studied. As a result of this study, a grade of housing damage due to tsunami was concerned to remove or not. A small or large scale village could not remove after disasters. The removal of settlements were effective to mitigate the next tsunami damage in this area. However, it was difficult to clarify the relationship between removal patterns and damage.At the second, we investigated on reconstruction of housing damage caused by the 1974 earthquake off the Izu Peninsula. We could not make clear relationship between the damage of housing and removal of housing in this study.
