Archaeological Study on the Chinese Ceramic Trade throughout the Arabian Sea.

本研究的主要目的是研究中世纪东西方之间的海上贸易。1988年和1989年，我们在阿拉伯联合酋长国的朱法尔遗址和巴林的阿阿里遗址进行了挖掘。朱法尔遗址位于阿拉伯湾的下端。我们挖掘了港口遗址。第一层属于16世纪，第六层是14世纪。我们找到了每一层的建筑、柱洞、坑洞和烤箱。在上层发现了许多中国青花和泰国陆地青瓷。但这些发现并不是从较低的地层挖掘出来的。贸易商品的种类层层变化。阿阿里遗址是9-10世纪的村庄。挖掘了房屋、枣树孵化器和一些烤箱。出土的大部分是陶器碎片，陶器碎片数量最多，其次是釉瓷。这两个遗址都很大，政府保护得很好。所有被发现的文物都保存在两国的国家博物馆里。

The main purpose of this research was to study the sea route trade between East and West in medieaval times. We made excavations at the site of Julfar in the United Arab Emirates and the site of A'Ali in Bahrain in 1988 and 1989 seasons. The site of Julfar is situated at the lower end of the Arabian Gulf. We excavated the port site. Layer 1 is belonged to the 16th century and layer 6 is 14th century. We found the buildings, post holes, pits and ovens in each layers. Many Chinese blue-and-white and Thai land celadon were found from the upper layers. But these finds were not excavated from the lower layers. The kinds of trade goods were changed by layers. The site of A'Ali is the village of the 9-10th centuries. Houses, date incubators and some ovens were excavated. Most of the finds were ceramic fragments, sherds of earthenware being the largest in number, and glazed ceramics next. The both sites are very large and well preserved by their government. All found are kept in the national museum in both countries.
