A prospective cohort study for sleep-disordered breathing and the progress of carotid atherosclerosis

睡眠呼吸障碍(SDB)的特征是睡眠期间反复发作部分和/或完全呼吸道阻塞。最近的几项临床研究表明，患有SDB的患者患心血管疾病的风险增加。但很少有研究用日语描述流行病学研究。因此，我们进行了一项队列研究，以评估日本人心血管动脉粥样硬化的进展情况以及SDB的严重程度和高敏CRP的影响。结论：未诊断或未治疗的SDB提示日本人心血管动脉粥样硬化的进展原因。

Sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) is characterized by repeated episodes of partial and/or complete airway obstruction during sleep. Recent several clinical studies have indicated that patients with SDB are at increased risk for cardiovascular diseases. But few studies have been described epidemiological study in Japanese. Therefore, we conducted a cohort study to evaluate the progress of cardiovascular atherosclerosis and an effect of the severity of SDB and highly high-sensitive CRP among Japanese.In conclusion, the undiagnosed or untreated SDB suggest the cause for the progress of cardiovascular atherosclerosis among Japanese.
