Eurasia in the Modern Period : Towards a New World History

在这个迅速全球化的当代世界，人们需要有一种属于地球的意识，需要共同努力解决一堆全球性的难题。为了创造世界公民的身份，我们必须试图描述一个世界历史，可以共享的世界人民。通过5年的合作研究，我们成功地在日语中形成了世界史的共同点。但是，日语中的世界史与英语中的世界史、全球史的含义并不相同。法语和汉语也是如此。要实现世界公民的世界历史，各国人民必须理解他国语言对世界或全球历史的看法，并准备一个讨论的平台。

In this rapidly globalized contemporary world, people need to have a consciousness that they belong to the earth and have to work together to solve a pile of global and difficult problems. To create the identity of global citizen, we have to try to describe a world history which could be shared by people of the world. Through our five-year cooperative research project, we are successful in making a common ground where we can discuss world history in Japanese.However, the meaning of world history in Japanese is not the same with world history or global history in English. So is the case with French or Chinese. To realize a world history for global citizen, people of different countries have to understand the perception of world or global history in the language of others and prepare a platform for discussion.
